I got a call from Chris one morning frantically asking me to come over as quickly as possible...."and wear a black t-shirt!" (!?)

It turned out that he had just wiped most of Alec's footage from the music video they'd been making and Alec was now out of Auckland. So I would be Alec. Except that I look nothing like Alec. Hey no problem..Chris had a solution...

Then he asked if I wanted to play drums or guitar. Well, as I do play guitar and didn't play drums...
However it was a small lap steel guitar, that Chris wanted me to play like a ukelele so as to fit within the narrow frame he was shooting. 

And so the central frame footage was shot in Chris' lounge; I got a little carried away and tried to copy Hendrix and play this thing with my teeth (except I didn't have any...). Behind the mask, Chris was calling out for me to stay close to him to remain in the shot.

As I recall, the upside-down footage was taken by Chris walking along Queen st, Auckland to the Flying Nun offices.

Hmm I seem to remember I wasn't supposed to tell Alec about all this... ;)
