Welcome to the new site. I'll be posting up-dates about Chris' recovery here. We're really hoping people like the album & I'd like to say a huge thanks to all the bands, artists, engineers, and others that have contributed to getting the album together.

We're gearing up for the release party next Friday at the Kings Arms. The fab Trilby has taken over the management of the gig & is doing a wonderful job of bringing it all together.

'Stroke - Songs for Chris Knox' will be in shops on Monday 16th Nov but you can pre-order from this site now.

Fabulous CD set - love it - but just one question - why is the Jeff Mangum version of "Sign the Dotted Line"(track 3 of CD2 on the US version) not included in the local pressing of the CD set? As a rabid Neutral Milk Hotel fan I'm left feeling a bit gutted. Guess I'll have to buy the US version too...

Excellent! For a wee while there, I couldn't find this site, so it's grand to be here. Thanks Roy, for all the time and energy - hopefully we can meet up on Friday. Meanwhile, Mr. Kinox; we'll speak soon...

Does more moolah flow the Knox-way if I buy it via Amplifier or iTunes?

Thanks

Have just received my CD by courier 8.30am this morning, & had my first play of many to come. Every track is breathtaking. Gems of brilliance . Every single one. What a powerful layered experience, to hear all these so familiar songs interpreted by other favorite musicians. Fantastic Tall Dwarfs and The Nothing bonus tracks, particularly liking Sunday Song . The cover design is inspired . An iconic CD, what a treasure . Leisha and Chris, so lovely to see you both out power walking in the late afternoon sun in Baildon Rd yesterday, could see the grit and determination in your pace Chris. I had some great talks with you in my office at our nightclub, The Squeeze, in Fanshawe Street, Auckland( 1979/1980) Will never forget your first performance, the onstage cuts on your arms underlying your power filled sound. You always were then and are now , a one of a kind person .
We think about you and talk about you often .Aroha
Annie and Terry (Baildon Rd Grey Lynn) and Emma (Glasgow)

Kia ora Roy, NZ On Screen have just launched a magnificent Chris Knox Collection, 21 music videos celebrating Chris's craft magic. Curated by Roger Shepherd, it also includes great tribute pieces written by Roger, and Russell Brown:

We've also made the collection the NZ On Screen's homepage banner:

... and we have promoted the album and gig to the NZ On Screen network and via links on the collection page. Enjoy and please share!
Best,
