Hi All - Roy is still away so I'm posting again. I received a postcard from him in the Bolivian country side where he is investigating a possible future career in turkey farming, having grown weary of the big city. Chris has been in good shape over the last few days. He's been working on an exercise with his right arm that involves holding a tapering tube & twisting it sideways. It's impressive to watch Chris work at this as it's obviously difficult for him to continue for the full 20 minutes required. And obviously it's great to see some controlled motion returning to his arm. Yesterday he popped up from his chair & said 'teeth' to me before ambling away to brush said articles - it was conscious & deliberate, so quite an achievement. Rod |

Through his work ive discovered a plethora of awesome bands including the Verlaines, let alone the work mister Knox has done with the multiple bands hes played in.
This kiwi indie music has changed my life, and given me something I can never forget. I am an amatuer musician still playing in basements, but one day I hope I can return the favor to all the awesome New Zealand artists that have done so much for me.
This is a personal thanks from me. I have posted on this blog a few times before and wish the best for Mister Knox. After a debilitating stroke he still has his musical ear, he is truly the Brain That Wouldnt Die.
Hi, I don't know if this is appropriate or not, but I would like to know if it would be possible to donate money to help Mr. Knox in a more direct manner. Perhaps there is a PayPal account that I can use for a transaction? I was very saddened to hear of Mr. Knox's troubles. His music and art give me so much joy. I would love to be of some help to him and his family.
Thank you.
Matthew
I must apologize for contacting you in this manner, as a blog entry comment, but I could not find any other contact address.
Wishing Chris and his family all the best for this new year!
May the words keep coming back,....'til he can tell us all off some day. Ha!
